PROJECT TECHNICIAN – ENTERPRISE COMPETITIVENES DEVELOPMENT

Main Purpose of job:
• Facilitating competitiveness improvement projects within the Enterprise Competitiveness Development Programme of the National Technologies Implementation Platform

Responsibilities:
Assist in the project implementation by:
• Administering of benchmarking, turnaround intervention projects and localisation projects as part of project team
• Assistance with developing and mentoring Incubation Learning Factory interns
• Research and profiling on manufacturing companies
• Applying industrial engineering techniques and onsite analysis tools at companies e.g. process mapping, resource/machine utilisation studies
• Solution derivation during intervention projects and benchmarking projects
• Administering post-project implementation and communicating with project companies
• Conducting industry profiling, trend identification and engaging in related topics

Key Competencies and requirements:
• Industrial Engineering Diploma or Degree Qualification
• Minimum one year post-graduate experience
• Driver’s Licence would be highly advantageous
• Own transport would be highly advantageous
• Willingness to travel nationwide on projects
• Self-driven person
• Willing to improve qualifications/skills/experience
• Advanced computer literacy (MS Office, Power Point, Excel, Projects)
• Fluent in English communication (Verbal and literate)
• Good presentation skills
• Good interactive and teamwork skills
• SA citizen
6 months probation (after which candidate will be considered for permanent employment based on performance) PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT IN-SERVICE TRAINING
