The Proof Reader is responsible for providing exceptional quality proof reading of clients copy. They are responsible
for the proof reading of printed and digital jobs against supplied client copy within the negotiated timelines. Creating
and maintaining clients’ style guides, performing quality control checks. The Proof Reader reports to the Traffic
Manager. This may change depending on organisational structure changes and/or needs.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Customer focus:
o Provide recommendations on proper use of terminology to the Project Manager
o Continuously keep the Traffic Manager and Project Managers informed of progress during projects
o Find solutions to potential work-related problems and communicate these proactively to the Traffic Manager
- Workflow process:
o Provide accurate proofreading services on all client jobs
o Check the typeset document of all content provided by client
o Ensure line breaks, spelling mistakes and any inconsistencies (including design) are highlighted and/or
corrected
o Ensure quality control checks are performed on all jobs
o Regular spell checks are performed
o Follow the correct systems, procedures according to the workflow process on all projects
Administration:
o Create and maintain clients’ style guides
o Accurate daily recording of time with details worked on projects
Relationships:
o Build constructive relationships within the team and across the business
o Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver seamlessly integrated quality products to clients
o Responsible for overall quality output of products
Company strategy:
o Implement any company initiatives
o Maintain and promote company culture
o Any other responsibilities delegated by your line manager
