PSIRA Grade B is essential
A minimum of 2 + years Security experience in the Mining Industries is essential
Fire Arm competent for business purposes. is essential
Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite. experience needed
Valid driver's license is essential
Must be willing to relocate if needed to be closer to the company
Reporting to the Security Supervisor or the operational manager
Risk, the role will provide a security compliance to security policies, procedures and objectives.
Ensure the security systems, capturing of data and reporting of all incidents to be sent to the Security Shift Leader.
Provide security and protection services for personnel, asset and product.
Responsible for searching and inspecting people, product and / or assets.
Escorting activities, when the need arises for movement of personnel in high risk areas.
Responsible for perimeters protection and patrols.
Responsible for security risk identification, during the conducting of day-to-day routine tasks.
Identify and report security threats and hazards.
Assist the SSO: Risk with Security risk assessments, when instructed.
Responsible for alarm reaction and alarm equipment maintenance.
Responsible for camera and other security hardware maintenance and anomaly reporting.
Operate and manage all security systems.
Ensure that all security reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules.
Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the Security Function.
Takes cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage and report on non-compliance issues.

Perform escorting activities as per company policies and procedures.
Demonstrate skill in applying preventative measures and actions with regards to the prevention of company property damage and theft.
Accurately identify security risks and report
Read, interpret and apply all related policies and procedures and the applicable legislative requirements.
Secure a crime scene.
Know the relevant security systems, and apply these systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
