Your team consist of:
• Product owner
• Team lead
• Developers
• Tester

What you will do:
• Estimate effort for testing tasks
• Define the test approach for each sprint
• Extract test requirements for user stories
• Design and create test cases
• Manual front-end functional testing of applications – which includes system, integration, regression and end to end testing as well as exploratory testing
• Collaborate closely with developers, identifying, logging, prioritizing and verifying defects in a defect tracking system (VSTS)
• Manage and maintain the test environments and test data
• First line support and root cause analysis of production issues and proactive, friendly, transparent and efficient support service
• Play a central role in establishing best practices for testing in an agile environment
• Continuous improvement initiatives specifically regarding quality
• Product risk mitigation thereby limiting defects in production
• Project risk mitigation thereby ensuring a smooth deployment process
• Managing and maintaining the regression test suits
• Conduct post-release / post-implementation testing
• Final sign-off of new releases
• Long-term plan to also implement automated tests (using C#)

Desired Skills and Experience:
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or IT-related degree
• ISTQB and experience in QA methodology advantageous
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role for at least 1 year
• Understand the systems being tested
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Able to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software
• No failed subjects in Matric or subsequent qualification(s), preferably above 65%
