Our client is looking to employ a Quality Assurance Lab Assistant based in Clayville, Olifantsfontein

RESPONSIBILITIES

Colour matching of the batches in production, in-plant tinting per the Company STD colours
Using lab sample testing before implementing it in the factory batches to avoid over-tinting or wasted time due to additional QC additions.
Using the least as possible liquid colourants
Manage receiving and storage of retained samples; investigate customer complaints regarding retained samples.
Regularly check/ test samples of product batches
Evaluate returned or rejected finished products and determine if they can be reworked as required.
Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration and report promptly in the event of a breakdown to avoid unplanned downtime
Participate in the development and/or revision of Standard Operating Procedures for the quality control function.
Keep records of all test carried out and write and present a report to show findings.
Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent preferably with mathematic and physical science
Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
Good arithmetic skills are required
2+ years of color matching and Quality Control experience is preferred
Working knowledge of measurement instruments
General proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Work
