Clothing Quality Controller/Garment Technologist

We are looking for a clothing quality controller/garment technologist to join our team at Avax in Cape Town. We’re an import clothing supplier that specializes in knits and wovens mainly from China. We’re looking for a driven, self-motivated individual that can work well in a small team. This candidate needs to have the ability to be enthusiastic and have a positive outlook on life.

Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Design/Patternmaking/Garment Technology
• 3 years experience as a clothing quality controller or garment technologist
• Ability to convey technical information clearly, verbally and by email
• Garment construction and pattern making knowledge is essential – ability to create graded specs
• Set clear tolerances pre-production and pre-shipment as well as evaluating AQL and bulk measurement reports
• Assist with inspecting bulk goods before delivery
• The ability to build and maintain a successful working relationship with co-workers, suppliers and clients
• Ability to work with tight deadlines
• Drivers License and own vehicle essential

Salary: R18k neg. based on experience
