A vacancy for a Quality Controller currently exists at the production facility {in Somerset West) of an innovative engineering company which is based in Stellenbosch.

Job Description:

To take ownership of and responsibility for all quality control related matters, these include performing incoming inspections, in-process inspections, audits and overseeing equipment calibration.
To continuously collaborate with quality assurance, inventory control and technical staff to analyse and improve quality control systems and processes.

Qualifications

National technical certificate {N4minimum) or relevant diploma
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a quality controller
Experience working in an electronic/mechatronic engineering environment
IPC-A-610and IPC/WHMA-A-620(or equivalent) certification would be an advantage
Knowledge of and experience working with ERP/MRP system/s
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise and multi-t ask
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with management and staff at all levels
Flexible enough for an SME environment
Capable of working in a highly technical environment
A general attitude of serving others to achieve a common goal
Ability to work and solve problems independently
