QUALITY ENGINEER

This client requires a National Diploma Mechanical engineering OR N6 Mechanical and a qualified artisan/ toolmaker to fill this highly technical position in Quality. You MUST have a solid background in metrology( good understanding of MSA and Gauge R&R studies, be able to operate and accurately measure with 3 D machine) and tooling (jigs and fixtures). A minimum of a Six Sigma Green belt and proven experience in Lean, APQP, Six Sigma, 8DTops and Poka-Yoke is required. You will need to prove 4-6 years (post qualification) of experience in a complex quality engineering field. Strong IT in MS Word and Excel essential. Proven ability to supervise and train others is required. A thorough knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 is essential to ensure compliance. You will assist in the development of procedures to support and implement quality systems, ensure implementation if continuous improvement plans, enhance supplier performance, resolve customer and supplier quality issues, etc.
