Duties & Responsibilities
Position Summary:

Responsible for analyzing, summarizing and allocating costs associated within the Cement business.

Preparing and analyzing the monthly financial statements, company budgets and feasibility studies.

The business follows the standard costing methods to control costs and will be using SAP HANA in the near future

Responsibilities

Property Plant and Equipment: maintaining fixed assets register providing monthly and yearly depreciation. Coordinating the yearly asset count.
Petty Cash reconciliation for the Plant and Head office
Preparing bank reconciliations for all different accounts
Loans : preparing monthly loan reconciliations and calculating the monthly interests for long and short term loans .
Preparing, analysing, monthlyfinancial reports , monitoring working capital andoperational performance KPIs
Preparing, reviewing and analysing outstanding debtors, creditors and all accounting accruals and ensuring accuracy of monthly financial reporting
Coordinating the periodical physical inventory counts
Performing budget and forecast reviews
Performing feasibility studies as per the guidelines
Financial reporting to the Directors and Stakeholders

JOB FACTORS

Financial Acumen

Ability to handle general accounting entry and transactions posting monthly , quarterly, yearly
Ability to accurately prepare and analyse daily, weekly, monthly quarterly reports and propose corrective actions to the management
Cost Centre management in line and against budget allocation and transaction posting of cost centre expenses actuals and accruals

Communication

Strong clear communication to all stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS

Education

Matric ,CA qualification

Experience

1-2 years’ experience in a similar position or a recently qualified CA that we can grow
Budget and Variance Analysis experience
Excel intermediate to Advance
Power point skills
SAP knowledge is preferred
