Regional MD Designate - Kenya
Multi-national firm headquartered in South Africa, looking for a Regional MD Designate – Nairobi, Kenya (will become Regional MD within 12 months) - for East Africa subsidiaries, reporting directly to the Head Office in Johannesburg, South Africa.

SALARY: Negotiable with the experience – Kenyan Shillings CTC package PLUS Perks PLUS
High incentives, based on achievement of performance targets and KPI’s

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Ability to manage, discipline and motivate – build and develop a team of 35 – 45 people.
• Ability to oversee teams in different countries – with the complexities it entails
• Sales/ Customer focused background/ Customer orientated
• Follows Group/ Company Policies & Procedures but not “corporate”. Will need to be flexible and willing to get stuck into doing things (not just “managing / delegating”) – small business attitude of “get stuck in and do it”.
• Create a new performance and accountability culture in the business


SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
• Preferably at least a BCom degree – general business acumen and commercial understanding is important
• Experienced Manager – “Project/ Technical” type background
• Experience in Africa
• Strong confrontational personality Vs Mediator, but listens to alternate viewpoints.
• Self-driven/ accountable/ target and Sales driven – hungry for success and financial incentives
• Positive energy/ can do/ make a plan attitude to things
• Inquisitive and willing to ask/ learn – engage with colleagues in the group and take advice

• Ability to handle pressure and juggle many balls at once
