REGISTERED NURSE - CASUALTY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver comprehensive and quality patient care to meet the health needs of patients in the unit.
• Offer a supporting role to Doctors performing daily cases and/or procedures.
• Ensure emergency medicines and interventions are always in order.
• Prevent, report and manage medico legal risks.
• Be always prepared to apply Disaster Management practices.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Must be in possession of a Diploma in General Nursing.
• Post Basic Midwifery qualification – preferred.
• Post Basic in Trauma and Emergency – highly advantageous
• Minimum of two years’ private hospital experience in Casualty/Trauma unit - essential.
• Must be willing to work shifts as required by unit.
• Extensive knowledge of wound care and Baby Wellness Programme (EPI) – desirable.
