The Professional Scrub Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized, holistic, and person-centered nursing care of a patient.

As a Scrub Registered Nurse you will be responsible for the wellbeing of the patient intra operatively, assessment of the patient to ensure delivery of high-quality care to patients whilst in theatre, in accordance with hospital standards and policies and is a role model in the delivery of evidence-based care.

You will be responsible for the preparation /checking /control and charging of stock / supervision and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment.
Timeously complete capital expenditure documentation as per doctor’s preferences where appliable.
You will be responsible for and held accountable for your own acts and omissions. Theatre activities form part of the planned operational requirements.
You will further be responsible and actively participate in Clinical Governance.

Requirements:
? - Registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council. A Matric or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
? - Thorough knowledge of general / specialized nursing theory and practice
