REGISTERED NURSE – THEATRE

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver comprehensive and quality patient care to meet the health needs of patients in the unit.
• Deal with all service providers in a professional manner (e.g. Doctor’s orders).
• Shift Leading.
• Promote and carryout the image of the Hospital in a professional manner.
• Maintain professional conduct at all times in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures.
• Professional development and training of lower category staff in the unit.
• Prevent, report and manage medico legal risks.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar environment.
• A qualification in Theatre Nursing Science will be advantageous.
• Must be willing to work shifts as required by unit.
• Adaptable and able to work effectively within a team
• The ability to display sound judgement in problem-solving.
