Our Client is a Christian service organization with nationwide schemes, which looks after the interests and care of older persons are currently looking for a Professional Registered Nurse | Professional Person Career.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities – But not limited to it: The successful candidate will be responsible for inter alias the following:

• Diagnosing of health, care and support needs.
• Prescribe a nursing regimen (nursing care plan).
• Execute a treatment program, care and support on medication prescribed.
• Monitor the treatment and care plan.
• Assist the doctor on rounds and in performing therapeutic interventions.
• Support personal and team development throughout the care home.
• Be open and available for employees and family’s to approach when they have complaints or concerns.
• Nurture relationships and teach others how to grow and recognise their strengths.
• Participate in the process of hiring, growth, evaluation and discipline of employees.
• Develop an environment that that fosters nursing excellence and promotes an engaged workforce.
• Networks with, and builds relationships with care partners attending to the residents.

Minimum Requirements – Non Negotiable:

• A minimum of three years’ experience as a Professional Nurse.
• Must be registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
• Computer literate (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
• A Predilection for care of the elderly and disabled
• Knowledge of the relevant elderly care and other relevant legislation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Good organization and time management abilities
• Healthy respect for versatility and sensitivity to all cultures
• Good leadership qualities and management skills.
