Role Summary:

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Register Nurse with Paediatric experience at a private healthcare group

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess a patient's health, as well as detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and will need to know when action is necessary. Compassion
• Explain what IV Vitamin/Nutrient Therapy is and the benefits thereof
• Describe the procedure in detail so clients know what to expect, they don’t like surprises
• Advise clients on which drips they should have dependent on symptoms experienced
• Assess medical consent form before dripping any client and take basic vitals
• Administer drips (gently and timeously) and monitor throughout
• Effective critical thinking skills that provide guidance in the identification and treatment of symptoms and changes in a child’s health
• A compassionate nature that enables them to provide sympathy, empathy, care, and support for children and their families
• An attention to detail that keeps processes moving along and prevents common mistakes from occurring
• Ensure admin duties are completed per client (daily sheet, batch number etc)
• Potentially take payment and send invoices,
• Experience with administering of drips, we need you to be good, quick and gentle!

• Proficient in English

• Trustworthy, honest
• Good administrative skills

Experience & Qualification:

• General/Registered Nurse with Pediatric experience for a minimum of two years
• Experience with IV infusions essential
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Knowledge of vitamin drips would be an advantage but not essential
