Our client in the Insurance industry is looking for a Reinsurance Accountant to join their growing institution
The provision of timely & accurate management of the reinsurance accounting function from system set up to capturing and reporting, as well as business partnering insights to the Leadership Team

Key Tasks & Accountabilities:
Functional Management:
• This role reports into the Head of Reinsurance Accounting
• System set-up and testing of reinsurance treaties
• Reinsurance technical accounting
• General ledger maintenance, including preparation of journal entries
• Reconciliations of all reinsurance accounts
• Reinsurance Statement of Accounts
• Cash management
• Monthly reinsurance reporting to stakeholders
• Participates in the design and testing of new systems impacting reinsurance
• Preparation of reinsurance treaty statistics
• Streamlining of processes
• Analysis of results and balances
• Dealing with queries from brokers and re-insurers
• Ad hoc duties

Your Skills and Experience
Education and Experience:
• Newly qualified CA
• Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in insurance and reinsurance
• Completed articles in Short Term Insurance
