Research Manager - Bedfordview

This position is responsible for managing, conducting and coordinating research in matters relating to Engineering to inform regulatory policies and standards to enable the development of credible and reliable programmes informed by research outcomes

This post reports to the Executive Research, Policy and Standards

Duties & Responsibilities
Identify areas to be researched in furthering the objectives of the profession

Lead Research initiatives as outlined in the research agenda for informed policy and standards development

Develop proposals and implementation plans for research projects where required

Develop and review operational procedures and work instructions for the Business Unit

Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of developed policies for continious improvement

Comply with the requirements of the QMS

Manage staff and prepare annual budget for Business Unit

Conduct impact assessment of implemented projects

Planning for the Division future needs and operations in consultation with the Executive

Desired Experience & Qualification
Honours Degree in an Engineering related discipline

10 years work experience with 5 years in Research, Policy Development, Standards Development and Stakeholder Management

Project Management experience

Proficiency in report writing
