RESEARCH PRACTITIONER: ECONOMICS

Background: The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategies economic sections; to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisaged provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role. Applications are invited from South African Citizens, willing to relocate to KwaZulu-Natal.

Requirements: Honour’s degree in Economics or related field of specialisation. Master’s degree would be an added advantage. Driver’s License

Experience: 3 years’ work experience related to economics
Remuneration: DPSA Level 10

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities: Research Practitioner duties, include but not limited to: Research Project Coordination; Conduct Research, Data collection, Data Analysis and report writing. Prepare and present research findings to relevant stakeholders.
