Restaurant Manager Paarl Cape Town

Our restaurant and events client in Paarl is looking for a strong ambitious passionate and experienced Senior Restaurant Manager to join their team. Must have an energetic hospitality / restaurant personality. Need to be able to work shifts and manage the Restaurant including FOH, takeaways and events. Must be willing to take over if general manager is on leave or away.

Salary up to R 25000 (one weekend on one weekend off)

Min Requirements

Matric5 years in Managing a Restaurant including FOH, being involved in the BOH, takeaways, and Events (120-seater)Must have events experienceMust be well-presented & enthusiasticHave own, reliable transport and licenseFluent in English & Afrikaans


Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the FOH (120 seaters) during restaurant hours and functions (small to medium functionsManage Restaurant staff including FOH, BOH, and events staffOversee that all opening and closing duties of the outlets are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintainedResponsible for daily deposits, and the correct operation of the POS systems – LightspeedBalancing of all daily and nightly cash drawers and POSFrom time to time manage entire restaurant when GM is not aroundAssist with overall ordering and operationsAssist clients and patronsAssist with booking of tables, functions and produce quotations for functionsAssist with function set up and management thereof – small to medium size functionsEnsure that all guests needs, and complaints are responded to quickly and efficientlyCo-ordinate and prepare staff rostersMaintain appropriate standards of conduct, uniform, language and grooming of all staffAbility to handle all disciplinary actionsEnsure daily, weekly and monthly meetings are heldAbility to work independently and under pressureExcellent interpersonal- & communication skillsExcellent people skillsStrong customer/guest service orientationComfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
