A large multidisciplinary Construction company operating throughout South Africa, Africa and the Middle East is looking for suitably qualified SHEQ Manager - Construction for their Building Division in Mozambique , must be able to Read; Speak and Write in Portuguese with a sound knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards. and who are prepared to travel when necessary as you will based in Maputo.

This company operates in Mozambique in the construction environment and are in need of a SHEQ manager with specific skills as follows:

1. MUST be fluent in verbal and written communication in both Portuguese and English languages. This is so that he/she can interpret local law
and set up systems in compliance with local law as well as communicate with Portuguese speaking local staff.
2. Must have suitable experience to manage the SHEQ department which is responsible for the companies Health & Safety plan &
implementation,
Quality Management plan & implementation and Environmental Plan & implementation.
3. Our aim to implement these systems based on our groups guidelines to achieve external accreditation in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & IOS 45001
standards.
4. This person must have experience in writing and implementing systems suitable for accreditation.
5. The person will have to operate out of Maputo and agreeable to travel to our more remote sites.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least GRADE 12. and/or a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management would be an advantage).

• Done SAMTRAC/NEBOSH, HIRA, Legal Liability, Incident Investigation and other related OHS courses;
Minimum of 5 years experience as a HSE Practitioner on a construction site.

• Must understand the implementation of health and safety systems in line with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
standards.

• Must be fully computer literate, have a valid driver's licence and possess good written and verbal communication skills in English & Portuguese.

• Preferably affiliated and in good standing with an OHS organisation or institution and registered with SACPCMP. Must have own transport and
be willing and able to travel to the sites on a regular basis wherever in Mozambique.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall responsibility for Health, Safety & Environmental Management.

• Liaise with all stakeholders, do HSE reporting and ensure that all HSE systems and requirements are standardised and controlled.

• Do all accident and incident investigations and do internal HSE audits on all the sites.

• Also develop the Group HSE initiatives into action plans and train/mentor the HSE Practitioners on the various sites.
