Safety Officer - Roads & Earthworks (KwaZulu Natal)

A large Civil Engineering Construction company operating throughout South Africa, is looking for a SHE Officer - Construction for a site in KZN.
and must be registered SACPCMP in Construction Safety who is prepared to travel when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least GRADE 12. And/or a Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management (would be an advantage).
• Done SAMTRAC/NEBOSH, HIRA, Legal Liability, Incident Investigation and other related OHS courses;
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a HSE Practitioner on a Civil construction site.
• Must understand the implementation of health and safety systems in line with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
standards.
• Must be fully computer literate, have a valid driver's licence and possess good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be registered with SACPCMP - Construction Safety.

Must have own transport and be willing and able to travel to the sites on a regular basis wherever.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall responsibility for Health, Safety & Environmental on site.
• Liaise with all stakeholders, do HSE reporting and ensure that all HSE systems and requirements are standardised and controlled.
• Do all accident and incident investigations and do internal HSE audits on all the sites.
