Our global client is looking to employ an experienced Sales Engineer to develop and implement a strategy to increase product sales and product services to decision-makers in the raw material, steel, mining, and related industries through a relationship-based approach.
Identify opportunities to increase the market share.
Maintain a visible and active presence in the market to facilitate the development of new business relationships and maintain existing clients.
Consult with clients on appropriate products to utilise.
Proactive promote and sell new product developments.
Develop long-term relationships with key clients.
Research and analyse the market to understand key drivers.
Provide first-line product technical support to the customer.
Conduct product application audits at customer facilities.
Provide basic technical training to clients where required.
Ensure customer service satisfaction.
Degree/Diploma in mechanical engineering.
Five years in the mechanical field in the mining and metals handling power transmission industry (Conveyors, Mills, Crushers, Pumps, Compressors, etc) and specific in-depth experience on high-speed gearboxes and their application in Industry.
Sound experience in selling, negotiating and concluding commercial service agreements/contracts.
Computer literate (MS Office suite)
Valid driver’s license (Code B)
Strong customer orientation
Good communication and negotiation skills
Socially confident/relationship builder and highly persuasive
