Sales Management Trainee: Hot Beverages – Durban / Phoenix
Salary – R500 000 CTC
Key Purpose:
A Management Trainee: Hot Beverages who will be a brand excellence advisor to manage new business opportunities within the Garage Forecourts, Convenience Stores, Contract Catering and Hotel Channels, through visiting and auditing sites, building great relationships and driving standards and sales with our partners.
Duties:
The position will be required to promote coffee consumption by educating customers; selling the coffee portfolio which includes brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies. The successful incumbent will also be required to prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, along with suggested coffee brews that leads to brand interest and purchases, capturing a new and exciting brand within the SA business.
• The Management Trainee: Hot Beverages must possess interpersonal skills, customer service experience, and an appreciation for coffee and coffee specialty drinks.
• Determining current and potential customer coffee interests and needs.
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee portfolio, menu; answering questions to influence brand participation.
• Responsible for launching coffee in outlets. Briefing new sites on the machines providing training and coaching to teams.
Qualifications:
• Relevant Marketing Qualification -3 year completed diploma/degree
• Or Relevant 3 Year Qualification in Food Technology or Hospitality
• 3-5 years’ experience in Coffee industry
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle
• Excellent coffee knowledge and Barista experience is essential
• Experience working in a coffee trainer or similar role
• Coffee roasting
• Coffee cupping
• Coffee equipment troubleshooting with basic coffee equipment maintenance
• Supplier relationship management
