The Sales Manager will direct and oversee the organisation’s sales policies, objectives and initiatives. Set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate the effectiveness of current sales programs. Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Manage the end to end sales process. Ensuring the seamless handover of client accounts from the Sales Department to the Operations Department. Direct reports: Business development managers and business development administrators.

Outcomes and responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly MANCOM packs reflecting the Sales Performance on a monthly basis.
• Prepare Board packs reflecting the Sales Performance on a quarterly basis.
• Responsible for the overall budget of the Company.
• Ensure that Departmental targets and individual targets are met for the relevant financial year.
• Ensure that all financial processes associated with each financial month, quarter and year end are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Managing organisational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.
• Formulate and execute the sales strategy and take responsibility for its implementation.
• Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.
• Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
• Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
• Drive and motivate the success of the sales team and ensure that they achieve clear numerical targets over set periods.
• Identify new opportunities to introduce sales into the customer journey, increasing the volume of sales.
• Lead by example on best practice for upselling product to customers and provide guidance and mentoring to members of the team that require additional support.
• Supplies management with oral and written reports on client’s needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Keep accurate sales records as required.
• Develops clear and effective written proposals/ quotations for current and prospective clients.
• Ensure local training preferences are satisfied and reflected in product offering.
• Test various sales mechanics and offers by product type, time of year and other variables to determine how calendar of activity should evolve.
• Ensure a seamless and positive customer experience at all times.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, conduct competitor research and anticipate changes in customer demand patterns.
• Identify and explore new customer groups as appropriate.
• Continually improve processes minimizing time spent on processes allowing for more time to maximize sales opportunities.
• Ensure the effective delivery of the Sales strategy through the sales team.
• Lead the sales team and solving day to day problems.
• Develop a Quality Control system for finance related tasks to ensure there is consistency and best practice applied.
• Responsible for creating the face to face learner division Nationally.
• Responsible for developing a master client list.
• Answering product related questions and other queries via e-mail, telephone, etc.
• Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current clients and prospective clients to generate new business.
• Expedites the resolution of client problems and complaints.
• Responsible for creating and managing strategic relationships with all stakeholders.
