Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed young people for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with government and labour to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Positions
? Sales & Marketing Assistant

Duties
? Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
? Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
? Maintain a fully stocked store
? Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
? Collect customer balloon orders and fulfil the order requirements by arranging the items as needed
? Recommend and display items that match customer needs
? Welcome and greet customers
? Manage point-of-sale processes
? Actively involved in the receiving of new shipments
? Keep up to date with product information
? Accurately describe product features and benefits
? Assist with opening and closure of store in line with trading hours
? Follow all companies’ policies and procedures
Requirements
? Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate (NSC)
? Proven working experience in retail sales (minimum of 6 months)
? Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
? Ability to learn quickly
? Creativity and interest in balloon garlands
? Proficiency in English
? Track record of over-achieving sales quota
? Solid communication and interpersonal skills
? Customer service focus
? Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
? Basic administration skills
? Aged between 18 and 29.
? Must be Unemployed.
? Must not have taken part on the YES Programme before
? Candidates must reside in Empangeni and surrounding areas.
