Our Client a Mining company just outside of Newcastle is looking for a Semi-Skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their operation. You will be responsible for doing the daily checks on the companies yellow equipment, and doing duties such as oil checks, coolant checks, lubrication checks, hydraulic fluid checks, ensuring the equipment is clean and in good working order, you would also need to keep your eyes peeled for major problems and leaks that need to be taken care of by the manufacturer of the equipment under the guarantee, as well as ensuring the equipment is serviced on time by the manufacturer. In addition, you will be trained as a siding supervisor on the coal siding where they receive coal by road and loading it on the trains. You would need your grade 12 and some sort of training as a diesel mechanic with at least 2-3 years of experience working as a semi-skilled diesel mechanic. You would need your own reliable Transport it would be essential for you to get to work as the post is outside of town and not easily accessed with public transport.
