Brits: SEMI-SKILLED LABOURERS
Semi-skilled labourers wanted for various roles in company ranging from operations of machinery, quality and assistant maintenance. (On the job training provided)
Minimum Requirements:
-Must reside in Brits
-Reliable male aged 18 – 30 years
-Matric / Grade 12
-Relevant/related Tertiary qualification, or relevant experience
-Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
-Able to use small hand or machine tools, or operation of power equipment.
-Must have general or basic knowledge and/or experience in the proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in concrete and masonry construction work.
-Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions required
-Able to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
-Able to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time while performing strenuous physical labour under adverse field conditions.
-Able to communicate orally and in writing
-Able to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
-Able to understand, follow and execute written and oral instructions.
-Able to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
-Able to work in loud noisy work conditions.
-Reliable transportation to factory site is required
-Reliable and hard working
-Stable employment record (no job hoppers, CV must indicate full employment record and employment dates)
-No legal termination at any previous employer due to misconduct or non performance
-Willing to work 12 hour shifts
-To start as soon as possible
Duties:
-Perform tasks involving physical labour for concrete and masonry construction projects
-Operate a variety of hand and power tools
-Clean and prepare sites, clean up rubble, debris and remove waste materials
-Perform a variety of jobs involving strenuous manual labour in masonry and concrete tasks
-Maintain a clean job site, requiring picking up all tools, equipment while securing job site each day to ensure safety and any theft that may occur.
-Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Salary: R 6 000.00 - R 8 000.00 gross maximum + overtime
