Senior Accountant CA(SA) Cape Town CBD

Our client is in the advisory services industry is looking for a Senior Accountant CA(SA) with 4 years plus experience in a similar field. This newly created role can best be described as a 2IC role with strong technical focus.

Requirements
You need to be a qualified CA(SA) – preferable
Requires a minimum of 4-5 years solid hands-on experience in a client-facing role (in a CA environment!).
You will have well-rounded skills and experience with preparation of year-end financial accounts, tax compliance and monthly reporting.
Previous exposure to advisory work would be considered advantageous

Responsibilities
To increase the technical competencies/capabilities of our client’s team and take some of the daily (more hands-on) responsibilities off the Director.
Preparation of year-end financial statements
Monthly management reporting
Tax compliance (including preparation of various tax returns for a wide range of entities)
General ledger reconciliations
Managing daily interaction with clients of various industry and functional backgrounds
Assisting clients with systems-related queries
Reviewing and supervising a team of 5 junior and intermediate accountants
Liaising with IRD, Banks, Lawyers, and other external parties on behalf of your clients
Taking full responsibility of the team and the practice when the Director is away
