PURPOSE:
Maintain and implement a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Devise and implement internal controls and systems to ensure all departments and Finance are integrated.
Be an integral part of the Executive management team and contribute in strategic direction of the company.

Requirements:
• B.Com Honours(accounting) or equivalent
• CIMA qualification or CA (SA)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail
• Able to work under pressure/deadlines
• Ability to work well with varying personalities
• Striving toward continuous improvement in deliverables
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to varying deliverable requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Represent Finance Team at Executive Meetings
• Compile Board reports
• Manage the preparation of the company's budget with all departments.
• Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
• Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction, including medium term plans (3yr budget)
• Plan and maintain project budgeting
