We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant for our client in Durban.
Requirements:

5+ years’ experience in a similar position in an accounting firm
B Com Degree and SAICA articles
Excellent understanding of accounting and tax principles
Must have Caseware experience
Must have worked on Pastel/Xero
Computer skills: Microsoft outlook, word & advanced excel skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of financial statements
Consulting clients & new client take-on’s
Ensure the smooth functioning of the debtor and creditor processes
Processing of client monthly payrolls and submitting monthly and annual statutory returns (EMP201, EMP501, Workman’s Compensation & UIF)
Accounting related project work for clients - reviewing of accounting systems, business valuations, tax computations, profitability analysis
Filing of SARS VAT returns
Filing of provisional and annual income tax returns for companies, CC’s and trusts
