Senior Actuarial Supervisor
Reporting to the Finance Actuary
Positions in Cape Town and Johannesburg

Oversee the capital and reporting requirements for investment and other products.
Lead a team of professionals responsible for the ongoing monitoring, reporting and forecasting of the financial impacts of the company strategy. The team will also be responsible for all capital related work, including SCR and ORSA shocks, cost of capital calculations, earnings at risk calculations and capital forecasts.
Partner with the internal Valuations, Finance, Actuarial Business Partner and Distribution Economics teams including Group Finance, Balance Sheet Management, Office of the Chief Actuary and Investment Group externally, to provide senior stakeholders with appropriate analysis and insights to drive decision making that helps achieve the

Financial Reporting - Consolidation and submission of valuation results (IFRS, MCEV and SAM). Presenting results to senior stakeholders.
Monthly Reporting – Ongoing monitoring and analysis (outside of valuation periods) of the financial impacts of the company’s strategy.
Business Planning / Forecasting – Produce the business plan and other forecasts to estimate future financial impacts of the business strategy.
Capital Management – Oversee production and analysis of capital calculations including SCR, ORSA and earnings at risk.
Funding – Project and request funding requirements.
Continuous Improvements – Enhancements of models and processes.
Projects - Support the delivery of project objectives e.g. IFRS17 implementation

Newly qualified Actuary. Exceptional candidates that don’t meet this requirement may be considered.
Min 3 years’ actuarial experience.
Management experience
Financial reporting and/or valuation experience would be advantageous
High level of accountability and ownership
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
