MAIN JOB PURPOSE

• To provide expert B-BBEE Advisory service to our clients to ensure B-BBEE compliance aligned with business objectives.
• The primary responsibility of the position is to ensure that the end-to-end process and result of each B-BBEE Audit and Consulting piece is
done correctly, according to the best timelines and producing the best results for the client.
• In addition, the role requires a candidate who has exceptional knowledge of all aspects of B-BBEE including all the elements of the codes as
well as insights and experience into complex ownership.
• This person needs to liaise with senior staff at Verification Agencies and Clients and resolve matters of concern and technical interpretations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Graduate level of intellect preferably with a degree in a management, arts or commercial discipline or a
professional qualification.
• Technical and business-related field required.
• Sales technical knowledge
• Computer software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• 3-5 years of experience in BEE Consulting as a subject matter expert with proficiency creating reports, optimizing processes and managing
dashboards.
• At least 2 years in formulating strategies and policies.
• Experience in leadership.
• Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent computer skills and a proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Report writing skills.
• Experience or ability to sell
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of working closely with Verification Agencies under SANAS.
• Sector codes experience will be an added advantage

DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties include the following:
General BEE Consulting
• Liaise directly with portfolio clients and manage all portfolio client’s interactions, including their verification work.
• Apply specialist knowledge to the DTI Codes of Practice and other relevant Legislation regarding BEE to produce the best result for the
client.
• Communicate effectively with client teams, project teams and other stakeholders in both verbal and written format.
Ensuring that the BEE Team produces correct, timeous, strategically sound and accurate calculations, analysis, client responses and verifications
that are in the best interests of the client.
• Ensure that all aspects of the technical work are checked and verified before any feedback is communicated to clients.
New Business and Marketing
• Follow-up on Leads.
• Source and sign on new clients.
• Set-up initial meeting with potential new client.
• Client meeting & marketing presentation.
• Negotiate and close deals

Existing Client maintenance
• Existing client visits, follow-ups and ad hoc assignments as requested.
• Service & Maintain existing client’s relationships

Proposal: Advisory & Learnership
• Meeting summary, Learnership requirements.
• Prepare and finalize proposal.
• Review proposal and send to client.
• Proposal follow-up.
• Send proposal to Analyst for further processing.

Strategy and planning / Timeline

• Strategy session with Client.
• Strategy and Planning Calculator.
• Compile Strategy & Planning Report.
• Pre-verification Status Report.
• Meeting with Client to discuss strategy report
• Meeting client to discuss Strategy implementation process.

Verification Management

• Prepare final verification calculator and submit to Analyst to proceed with verification process.
• Assisting with sample collection and file preparation.
• Liaise with Verification Agent on technical matters concerning verification and problem solving.
• Post Verification Status Report.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
• A proven record of success in senior level B-BBEE, general or commercial advisory, preferably in a
related industry.
• A wide knowledge of the industry. Ability to identify trends and track progress.
• A strong understanding of B-BBEE calculators and CRM applications.
• Experience or ability to sell
• Presentational skills with an appreciation of the demands of conflicting interests and of meeting
statutory requirements.
• A very high level of commercial awareness.
