Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Cost Accounting Manager, Senior Cost Accountant for a permanent position based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. Applicants must have hands on, current experience with SAP from the automotive & manufacturing industries.

Job Description

Cost Accounting Manager/Senior Cost Accountant | Must have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills, with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, specifically SAP. Individuals with at least five (5) years’ experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Own vehicle required.

Duties:
• Developing and implementing cost standards for materials and labour
• Monitoring unit cost variance Implementing cost accounting systems
• Analyzing production costs and recommending changes
• Analyzing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization
• Performing month-end cost accounting close
• Maintaining financial & cost accounting system and ledger
• Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock
• Performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis
• Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports
• Overseeing annual physical inventory
• Analyzing inventory valuations
• Prepare financial management report
• Hiring, training and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff
