A vacancy exists for a Senior Cost Accountant at our client within the Automotive industry. Must have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills, with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems. MUST know Automate system and come from Automotive industry

Typical duties:

- Developing and implementing cost standards for materials and labour

- Monitoring unit cost variance

- Implementing cost accounting systems

- Analyzing production costs and recommending changes

- Analyzing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization

- Performing month-end cost accounting close

- Maintaining financial & cost accounting system and ledger

- Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock

- Performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis

- Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports

- Overseeing annual physical inventory

- Analyzing inventory valuations

- Prepare financial management report

- Hiring, training and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff
