Our client seeks a Senior Customs Clerk to join the Clearing and Forwarding Department in Durban.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW ARE A MUST! IF YOU DO NOT MEET THEM YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED! THIS IS A SPECIALIST ROLE!

Minmimum Requirements:
- Knowledge of Customs and Excise requirements for movement of goods outside South Africa
- Good mathematical and analytical skill sets.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with ability to assist with problem solving and delivering on expectations.
- Matric
- Certification in Customs Clearing & Forwarding.
- Logistics Diploma will be an advantage.
- At least intermediate excel level.
- Working experience of 4 – 5 years in Operations through Export activities for Medium / Large business.
- Working knowledge of Compuclear.
- Epicor knowledge an advantage.
- Solid Clearing and Forwarding Exports experience required.
- Sound knowledge of shipping documents & procedures required.
- Experienced in dealing wtih SARS and Customs Rates
