Your key job responsibilities as the Senior Financial Accountant in Cape Town will include:

- Year-end closure and audit file preparation
- Co-ordinate and supervise internal and external audit reviews
- Group Annual Financial Statement preparation in terms of IFRS
- Manage and improve speed of monthly and quarterly close by automating business processes
- Manage and document finance processes
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as relates to the financial accounting division
- Drive the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process for the business
- Monitor and control working capital requirements of the group and subsidiary companies
- Review company policies as they relate to the finance department and motivate any amendments if necessary
- Review internal processes and suggest improvements which would assist the department/company in being more efficient/effective
- Assist with special projects, cost control initiatives and monitoring of company performance
- Manage intercompany transactions and accounting including tax
- Bank and treasury operations
- Statutory/taxation
- Supervise and develop people

Requirements for this Senior Financial Accountant job in Cape Town:

- Bachelor's degree (B.Com)
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ post articles work experience in a similar role
- Completed SAICA articles/CA (SA)
- Knowledge and understanding of the South African Income Tax Act and International Financial Reporting Standards
- Sound experience in the property sector (preferred)
- Excellent leadership skills – must have led teams; and experience operating in a group environment
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Salary depending on your experience
