R100 000 – 125 000 per month, CTC

Overview
As the Human Resources Manager in this manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating Human Resources Management activities on behalf of the company in terms of staffing, remuneration, training & development and employee and labour relations.

Minimum Requirements:
• Master’s degree in social sciences
• Registered Industrial Psychologist
• 6+ years’ experience in a senior level Human Resources role
• Good conflict resolution, IR, and labor legislation knowledge (unionized environment)
• Excellent organizational management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Good knowledge of Payroll systems and benefit programs

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Compliance
o Formulate and update HR policies and procedures
o Integrate HRM with current and pending legislation and socio-political changes
o Control the application of mandatory acts
o Manage and implement ISO standards and procedures compliance for HR
• Staffing
o Establish and lead staffing practices and procedures necessary to recruit and retain staff
o Maintain optimal staffing levels through organizational planning
o Manage the Senior Management Recruitment process
o Manage Psychometric assessment process
• Compensation and benefits
o Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefits and compensation of employees
o Manage the evaluation, classification and rating of occupations and job positions
• Employee / Industrial Relations
o Monitor employee / Industrial Relations
o Coordinate the administration and negotiation of union agreements
o Monitor disciplinary / arbitration cases
• Monitor company training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of employees
• Coordinate a community and social responsibility function to enhance the company’s internal and external social responsibility
• Monitor bursary schemes
• Services and support liaison
