One of the leading pathology laboratories operating throughout Africa, providing vital diagnostic and monitoring pathology services is seeking a Senior Laboratory Analyst to start as soon as possible.

Requirements:
National Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
5 - 10 Years' pharmaceutical/laboratory experience
Must have extensive HPLC knowledge
SOP management
Out-of-Spec investigations
Supervisory experience is preferred

Responsibilities:
Sample preparation
Sample analysis
Developing and setting up methods on GC-MS
Validating methods on GC-MS
Reporting results of analysis
Troubleshooting GC-MS methods
Primary function will be analysis and testing of products in the laboratory (raw materials, bulk, finished products, packaging, basic microbiology)
Management of reagents
Instrument calibrations
Retention sample
Stability and compatibility testing
Recording and reporting data in lot documentation as well as electronic logs
Housekeeping and good lab practices including the use of 5S.
Lab specific projects as directed by the Lab Manager.
