RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Conduct and interpret research in area of specialization and create a learning and sharing platform to improve municipal efficiency in area of specialization. Be a key repository of knowledge and information on local government and matters relating to the sector/ area of emergency services and disaster management
* Conduct research on the best practice developments across the world utilising new and innovative technologies to improve service delivery
* Conduct analysis on municipalities and provide guidance in respect of implementing improvement on emergency services and disaster management responses.
*Five years’ experience in local government and environment climate change & sustainability sector at management level
*Policy research, analysis, monitoring and evaluation

QUALIFICATION: An appropriate post-graduate university qualification and/or other relevant tertiary education.
