Mechanical Engineering Degree
Must have very strong Solid works Designing, 3D CAD modelling experience essential
5+ years’ working years’ experience gained as a Mechanical Design Engineer using Solid works
Background in automated engineered systems or other
Data pack experience
Conceptualize and design mechanical purpose-built machinery, industrial equipment, jigs, conveyance systems, lifting equipment OR other
Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software an advantage
Specification of electro-mechanical, hydraulic +pneumatic control systems advantage
Create+ assist with complex project quotations
Plan and lead medium to large projects
Perform design reviews.
Manage project risks.
Coach and mentor Junior Engineers.
Conduct complex and high-risk designs.
Ensure due diligence
Look at overall department efficiency, digitization, workflow streamlining and planning for the future.
Analyse mechanical functionality of systems,
Finite Element Analysis.
Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable company standards using Solidworks
Interface with Customers, Vendors, Production Managers Procurement to find optimal solutions.
Read + interpret, technical drawings + schematics.
Liaise with Automation engineers + other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, provide technical information.
Work to Company CAD and PDM standards.
Detailed Designs done to ISO, SABS and Customer Standards.
Specify system components or direct modifications of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
Self-motivated highly organized
Willing to relocate if needed
Willing to work overtime when needed
Able to start as soon as possible or immediately
Salary offered: R45 000 -R50 000 Gross CTC per month
