PBT Group has an opportunity for skilled Data Engineers to join our analytics team in the financial sector. The ideal candidate has an eye for building and optimizing data systems and will work closely with our systems architects, data scientists, and analysts to help direct the flow of data within the pipeline and ensure consistency of data delivery.

Duties:
- Work closely with other data and analytics team members to optimize the company’s data systems and pipeline architecture
- Design and build the infrastructure for data extraction, preparation, and loading of data from a variety of sources using SQL
- Be proficient in the use of Spark

Experience:
- MS SQL
- Spark
- Hands on experience with Spark
- Good understanding of data warehousing and understanding of BI / data visualization
- Business acumen and efficient in understanding the needs of business and ability to breakdown steps in more agile and business driven deliverables

Qualifications/ Certification:
- A degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Business Administration / Commerce or equivalent
