Our client in the Medical Diagnostics sector requires a Senior New Business Development Manager, Johannesburg

Purpose of the role:

Target and Develop new business opportunities
Development of sales, marketing and educational strategies with defined activities to ultimately drive sales and ensure a long-term revenue stream that contributes to the overall sales target
The responsibility extends to both short and long-term budgeting and planning processes with an ongoing interaction with the General, Financial and Marketing Managers to ensure continuous growth in revenue and profit
The NBDM will have a strong focus on dedicated marketing campaigns to further establish and grow the brand in the territory
Accountable for daily sales, design and implementation and execution of tactical plans and marketing campaigns for the defined territory
Ensures that objectives are reached
Contributes to the creation and enhancement of the Company's image in the market place
The NBDM will be required to professionally and ethically create, maintain and expand sales in SA, Sub-Saharan Africa and internationally whilst providing continuing education and service to customers
Required to actively seek and investigate new sales opportunities
Able to set high goals and standards of performance and ethical behavior and be able to work independently and under pressure

Duties:

Budget and Planning- develop, implement and execute annual/quarterly sales plans; drawing up business plan and implementation thereof; liaise with Logistics Manager to plan and ensure adequate product unit levels to support sales; Complete Rolling order forecast for the products in the group portfolio monthly before deadline

Sales Management- Establish key relationships with the suppliers and customers within the territory and internationally; ensure that sales targets are met; ensure that the right people are in the right jobs; allocate and management of territory management funds as per divisional budget; influence decision-making strategies

Marketing Management- Develop with the Marketing Manager innovative and unique marketing campaigns to build and develop the Consumer Healthcare brands and portfolio; focus campaigns to key opinion leaders and stake holders; align marketing campaigns with marketing strategies

Continuous Education- Participate in industry-related trade shows / meetings /conferences; Develop a throughout understanding of the brand

Staffing and Organization- Manage local sales performance via quarter goal setting; Organise and manage hiring and introduction process; Support the talent development and succession planning process

Controlling and Problem solving- Closely monitor and strictly enforce the sales process; provide leadership in daily direct sales operation in the defined territory; ensure compliance with local regulatory/ legal requirements

Administrative duties

Execute Excellence Culture- Familiarize with and adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times; build and maintain a positive co-working relationship; projecting a positive image when presenting the company
