SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER – PAARL

Our Client is a leader in the Wellness Product manufacturing industry based in Paarl. They have a strategic vacancy for a PRODUCTION MANAGER (SENIOR) that has an exception knowledge of manufacturing management as well as a very strong people’s management style and experience.The ideal candidate will have strong organization, communication, and leadership skills and a background in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality systems.

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:
An appropriate tertiary degree in Engineering, Pharma and/or Operations Management or equivalent
Knowledge of production and continuous improvement processes in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment;
At least 5 years production management experience in a pharmaceutical or FMCG environment
Experience on senior management level
Excellent management, analytical and problem-solving skills will be required.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Oversee planning of the production schedule and ensuring that all resources are available to compete production on time to ensure optimal effectiveness of equipment.
Ensures that the factory produces finished product to the required standard and meets the demands of the production schedule.
Set production budgets
To implement and comply with quality, pharma and food safety standards to ensure that products of the highest efficacy, quality, safety and legality are produced.
Plan and manage shift production performance
Work in close cooperation with the Production Pharmacist and Quality Departments to implement and maintain a production environment that is compliant with cGMP.
Formulations and enforcements of CAPA’s, Change Controls and NC reports.
Updating of Departmental SOP’s and staff training.
Process optimisation and efficiencies.
