Situated on the outskirts of Stellenbosch, this highly acclaimed Wine Estate, a la carte Restaurant and Function Venue offers elegant contemporary cuisine in all outlets with additional themed wine and food pairing sessions in the tasting centre. We are in search of a skilled, polished and professional Senior Restaurant / Operations Manager to oversee 2 x Assistant Restaurant Managers, and a restaurant team of 14 staff, Tasting Room personnel, function coordinators and function waiters as well as control and monitor wine stocks, alcoholic beverages, procurement and support staff.
Requirements:
2 or 3 year Hotel Management / F&B Service & Operations Qualification
Minimum 6 - 8 years management experience in a similar environment
Excellent Food and Beverage and Wine Tasting Skills
Technical Service and Operational expertise
Ability to implement effective beverage controls and systems
Proven efficiency in training & developing FOOD, BEVERAGE and WINE service skills
Proficient in Point of Sale Systems such as MICROS & GAAP
Abilities in FINANCIAL CONTROLS with a good BUSINESS ACUMEN
Afrikaans mother tongue with excellent written & spoken proficiency in English AND Afrikaans
Willing to work standard industry hours and weekend shifts
