Senior Retail Leasing Manager
Market Related Salary plus Good Commission Structure

We are seeking an EXTROADINARY senior level Leasing Manager to lease high-profile retail developments in Gauteng. Someone who will identify, negotiate and finalize lease terms with major national and local retail tenants. SOLID existing relationships, and ability to create new, is a must. Intensive previous experience in this sector is required to make this happen. Are you up to it?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Thorough understanding of property, market, trade area, competition, and demographic profile
• Use data and internal tools to identify desired tenants and develop strategy to execute
• Negotiate leases with national and regional tenants, both box and small shop
• Identify potential tenants and contact them to occupy space in Company shopping centres
• Canvas for prospective new local and regional tenants through cold calling, in-person meetings and follow-ups
• Analysis of existing tenant rent roll, occupancy, sales data, lease agreements, amendments
• Negotiate renewals/restructures
• Work with SREG demographic, cell phone capture, psychographic, data/tools and marketing materials to develop compelling business presentations to prospective tenants
• Financial analysis of existing and new leases, clauses, etc.
• Handle lease negotiations from initial inquiry through lease execution
• Negotiate Letters of Intent and coordinate lease execution with legal counsel
• Extensive travel for prospective Tenant meetings, canvassing, etc.
• Provide superior client service:
o Positively and proactively collaborate with everyone in the Company in any way needed to further the leasing and marketing of mall properties to achieve, sell and provide world-class service
o Maintain Client confidence and protect operations by keeping proprietary information confidential
• Perform other duties as required

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Must possess/obtain required Real Estate NQF4 qualification (Essential)
• 5 years’ experience in the real estate industry, particularly retail (List of Retail Centres you have personally worked with/for MUST be part of your CV)
