Senior Tax Administrator

Our client, a listed property concern seeks to appoint a Tax Administrator who will be responsible for all tax related functions of the Group. The ideal incumbent will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with sound efficiency in company tax related matters.

Responsibilities:

Income Tax
• Continuous assessment of tax impact of transactions
• Income Tax Returns (ITR14 and IT14SD): Preparation and calculation of the tax computation as well as supporting schedules for allocated companies within the group.
• Income Tax Returns (ITR14 and IT14SD): Managing the completion and follow up of allocated companies within the group.
• Resolution of Income Tax queries from South African Revenue Service.
• Roll out controls and procedures in the business with regards to impact on income tax.

Supporting function: VAT
• VAT returns: Preparation and calculation of VAT for allocated companies within the group.
• VAT returns: Managing the compiling, completion and follow up of allocated companies within the group.
• Resolution of VAT queries from South African Revenue Service

Qualifications & Experience

• BComm Accounting/Tax qualification will be advantageous.
• Experience in dealing with queries raised by SARS and responding to queries
• Excel skills at an Advance level
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadline
• Must have a pro-active approach
• Ability to take ownership
• Must be detail orientated and highly meticulous.
