Job objective
The Wealth Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of clients’ wealth portfolios

Duties:
1. Investment Reviews
1. Research of investment portfolios and investment performance of all clients and preparation of review reports.
2. Ensure reviews take place with active clients in accordance with company policy and company investment philosophy

2. Servicing of existing clients
1. Provide ongoing financial planning advice, in conjunction with the relevant Wealth Planner, to clients regarding investment portfolios i.r.o.
risk, market trends, investment performance, benchmarks, etc.
2. Conduct research and obtain information and values required to compile comprehensive proposals and recommendations for clients (or
potential clients)
3. Open or authorize corporate saver accounts for the client if so mandated
4. Assist clients in obtaining tax certificates, if and when requested
5. Assist with wills and testaments i.e. preparation of documentation and/or assisting with estates
6. Attend to and resolve clients’ concerns, queries and complaints regarding their investment portfolio

3. Processing new business from existing clients
1. Compile proposals and implement Clients’ instructions regarding:
o Switches
o Repurchases
o Maturities
o Surrenders
o Sec 14 and Sec 37 transfers
o Retirements/Early Retirements

4. Generating New Business
1. Pro-actively identify new business opportunities and marketing of products in area of responsibility
2. Obtain accurate and appropriate information in order to compile proposals for potential clients

5. General Administration
1. Recording of client interaction and updating of client records upon completion of interaction
2. Maintain client record and database, both hard copies and electronically
3. Ensure compliance with FICA and FAIS legislation
4. First line IT Support when required (where applicable)

Job Evaluation Criteria
Formal Education
• Post graduate diploma in financial planning;
• CFP membership

Experience:
•5 years in the financial services industry
