SEO Copywriter

Location: Durbanville, Cape Town
Salary: R20k – R25k per month negotiable

About the Role:
Opportunity available for a creative SEO Copywriter at a full-service digital agency with clients across South Africa and abroad, providing SEO, web design, social media and digital marketing.

Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Copywriting, Journalism, Languages
Fluent in English and must be able to speak Afrikaans, only needs to write in English
3+ years’ experience writing for various industries/topics
Must have ability/experience to switch writing styles depending on the client
Good knowledge of SEO in relation to content marketing
Knowledge of HTML
Analytics tools – Google and Bing analytics
MS Office
Strong research experience, must be resourceful
Experienced in writing text and articles in short (social media, caption text) and longer formats (website copy)
Analytical and logical thinking

Duties:
Writing new SEO-friendly website copy
Optimising current copy on client websites (titles, descriptions, H1’s, alt text, anchor text)
Blog writing and posting (website and LinkedIn)
Press releases (writing as well as other forms of PR Media – pitches, articles etc)
Social Media Copy
Keyword research
