Our client operates a large Acquisition team at the forefront of brand, search engine, and affiliate marketing to achieve results that are a cut above the rest. With dedicated teams specialising in the full array of SEO areas, an acquisition affiliate team, as well as an app development team, the Acquisition Marketing department is constantly attaining new benchmarks in the i gaming field.

Purpose of the Role:

Working closely with the Acquisition Marketing Director, the Head of SEO role is pivotal for company’s continual growth internationally. The Head of SEO is responsible for the SEO strategy formulation as well as driving strong SEO growth and profitability across the teams including assuming full P&L responsibility for global SEO traffic to the company’s brand domains. The efforts of the Head of SEO should drive more traffic to the company’s different sites and pages and as a result acquire more players. Tasked with the improvement of the business’s site visibility and raising the organic search rankings, the Head of SEO will also be responsible for the creation, implementation, and analysis of SEO programs and campaigns.

The role will manage an already established team of SEO specialists with potential to grow further as the Group advances into new markets and grows its organic traffic.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Formulate global SEO strategies to drive profitable SEO growth, improving SERP positions, leading to global growth in organic traffic
Create, develop, and execute a detailed SEO roadmap and drive execution across multiple iGaming brands and domains
Own and P&L manage global SEO budget to deliver profitable search engine rankings in new and existing markets
Lead, grow and develop the current SEO team to execute SEO strategy globally; directly line manage current senior team members, leading to excellence and strong KPI delivery
Leverage and contribute to the brand and content strategies to maximise SEO opportunities
Be a technical SEO evangelist, directing on-site audits and implementations to ensure SEO best practices are followed and adhered to across multiple Group’s domains and subdomains
Leverage internal translation talent and work with country managers to accelerate SEO growth internationally
Turn raw data into valuable insights through analysing performance metrics and data to present regular KPIs reports to senior stakeholders showing return on investment and progress achieved
Introduce channel development and team management best practices across SEO channel, leading to increased productivity and commercial growth
Maintain SEO best practice and stay up to date with new developments and tactics in the industry.
Take an innovative approach to SEO, sharing your prior knowledge, experience, new approaches and enthusiasm with the wider Acquisition department
Work closely with other Digital channel owners to maximise Group’s return from SEO channel

Essential Criteria:

5+ years of strategic and hands-on SEO experience, covering content, on-site, outreach and tactical SEO strategies
Leadership experience with demonstrable track record of having successfully created, led and developed a team of >5
Strong commercial awareness – comfortable using data to demonstrate ROI and experience managing large SEO budgets to positive ROI and profit levels
Demonstrable track record of developing and executing multi-region advanced strategies leading to noticeable improvements in SEO performance in different regions and across different language groups
Demonstrable technical SEO experience dealing with multiple domains and technical setups
Strong SEO content understanding in a multi-region, multi-language environment
Understanding of CMSs and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how these can be utilised to maximise SEO potential
Experience working to set CPA, revenue and ROI targets
Highly numerate and interested in working with data to drive decisions
Able to come up with new and creative approaches to achieve results
Demonstrates consistent logic, rationality, and objectivity in decision making
Desirable Criteria:

2+ years experience of SEO within regulated sectors, especially iGaming /gambling
Basic web development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS)
