Sovereign Foods is a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets and has operations in the Eastern Cape and Gauteng Provinces. The Commercial division of Sovereign foods is looking for an individual to assume the responsibilities of Services Manager in Uitenhage. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Maintenance Engineer. The ideal candidate must be in possession of N6 Electrical Trade diploma/Electrical Engineering Diploma and 5-8 years’ experience. Medium Voltage Switching accreditation will be an added advantage.

Results Required:
• Manage and perform route cause analysis on re occurring breakdowns and implement measures to eliminate reoccurrences
• To establish and maintain a safe work environment specifically where machinery is involved.
• Connect and upgrade new versions and revisions of software and test functionality before commissioning
• Adhere to GMP required in terms of FSSC 2000
• Manage accurate recording of breakdowns
• Draw up task clarifications of proposed projects involving changes to plant utilisation and/or new equipment
• Update maintenance schedules and report weekly on completed, pending and outstanding maintenance
• Ensure all electrical work complies with SANS Standards for installation work
• Complete critical analysis regarding safety operating procedures
• Developing the electrical team and managing talent within the department.
